From left to right, our executive team is Madeleine Brodeur (Public Relations Chair), Thomas Ksobiech (Treasurer), Bryce Stekelenburg (Vice President), Lauren Shin (Co-President), Cam Tyson (Co-President), Jack Raiz (Social Media Chair), and Carolina Mosquera (Events Coordinator).
Lauren Shin, a University of Richmond student, co-founded Kickin’ It Coalition in her sophomore year with Cam. Inspired by a similar program she participated in with her high school varsity team, Lauren worked to adapt and introduce the concept to Richmond, creating a space where children with autism could experience the joy of the sport she grew up playing. She is a Biochemistry & Molecular Biology major who is involved in research with Dr. Pollock, works as an EMT for UREMS, is a tour guide for the university, and is a member of Korean American Student Association.
Cam Tyson, a University of Richmond student, co-founded Kickin’ It Coalition in his sophomore year with Lauren. He was inspired by his relationship with his younger brother, who is on the spectrum, and his own involvement in a program similar to Kickin’ It Coalition in the past. He is a Biology and Leadership Studies major who is involved in research with Dr. Jones, plays on the men’s club soccer team, and works as a tour guide for the university. Cam was interested in creating this kind of opportunity for others so he has the chance to foster special relationships with the players like he has with his younger brother.
Bryce serves as Vice President. He supports organization-wide planning and helps coordinate team efforts.
Carolina serves as Events Coordinator. She helps organize our events and makes sure clinics run smoothly day-of.
Jack serves as Social Media Chair. He photographs for our organization and manages our Instagram account. Links to social medias can be found below.
Madeleine serves as Public Relations Chair. She helps strengthen outreach efforts and communicate the organization’s mission to the broader campus and local community.
Thomas serves as Treasurer. He manages budgeting and financial planning for the organization.
